About The Worcester Park Day Nursery & Pre-School
The Worcester Park Day Nursery and Pre-school, is located in the heart of Worcester Park. At 42-44 Longfellow Road, we are a short walk from Worcester Park station and a stones throw from local bus routes. Rated as ‘Meets Expected Standards’ by OFSTED (2026) our nursery welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years.
Our spacious premises includes a warm nurturing and safe space for all children. Our 4 spacious rooms include a baby, toddler, nursery and preschool room, all of which encourage exploration, friendships and fun. Children thrive alongside our experienced nurturing staff team who work in partnership with parents to find the spark that brings a love of learning to every child.
Our curriculum encourages the holistic growth of each individual child and celebrates the important contributors in their lives – parents, practitioners and the environment. We recognise that only when these factors work in partnership can children achieve their full potential and be ready to move on to their next big adventure.
Our classrooms extend beyond tables and chairs. Activities are planned to challenge and support each individual child’s development, and our outside space is as much of an educator as we are. Our gardens are divided for different ages, fostering physical challenges, imaginative play and connection to nature through experiences such as climbing, digging and growing.
Could The Worcester Park Day Nursery and Pre-school be the spacious, sensory-rich haven where your child’s joy and growth shine? Book a tour today and explore our vibrant rooms, speak to our knowledgeable and experienced educators and see the fun in action.

Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager
Laura Mutton
Hello, my name is Laura, and I am the Nursery Manager at The Worcester Park Day Nursery and Preschool. I am a proud mum to Joseph, wife to Brian, and have dedicated over 25 years to working in the early years sector, exclusively within day nursery settings.
Throughout my career, I have progressed through a variety of roles, achieving my Early Years Professional Status along the way and ultimately moving into nursery management. I also hold a Level 3 Forest School qualification and an IOSH certificate which support my commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environments for children.
My experience spans both large childcare organisations and independent nursery settings, giving me a broad understanding of high-quality early years education and care. I am passionate about providing exceptional childcare and leading a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic team who share the same dedication to giving every child the very best start in life. Together we strive to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. I strongly believe in the importance of early education and am committed to delivering a unique curriculum that supports each child’s individual learning and development journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, long walks, theatre trips, concerts, and relaxing with a traditional pub lunch.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is our promise to every child, parent and family who come through our door. Built around four core commitments it guides how we nurture every child and encourages growth whatever stage of development your child is at.
A Confident Communicator – We give children the skills to make their voice heard whatever their age or ability. Whether that is through early connections that focus on eye contact and gesturing or through conversations that challenge and extend learning.
A Skilful Problem Solver – It’s never too early to encourage that spark of curiosity. Starting with our very youngest who are exploring new environments, sounds and textures, this spark continues through to our eldest children who are confident to question how and why things happen and experiment with trial and error.
Lead a Healthy and Balanced Lifestyle – Through our balanced and nutritious meals, our language and education rich mealtimes and our continuous commitment to promote outside play, we strive to build the early foundation of a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Be the Best Version of Ourselves – Encompassing Personal, Social and Emotional Development together with the fundamental British Values, we want every child to be the best they can be, to be accepting and supportive of each other, to feel confident to stand up and have a voice and recognise that they are the most important person in their story.
When children leave us for their next journey, we want them to know it is ok to who they are, to love what they enjoy and to always try hard. We hope to have taught them to show compassion, be kind to friends, respect differences and be inclusive of all. Our goal is for every child to grow into an independent, resilient learner who knows their self-worth and believes they can achieve anything if they persevere and never give up.
