About CherryStone Nursery

CherryStone Nursery is an OFSTED GOOD (2022) nursery in Stoneleigh, Epsom, with a calm, stimulating environment designed to help children feel safe, secure and confident as they learn. Our team places strong emphasis on high standards of care, with strong childcare knowledge and first aid training across the setting.
Learning is built around the Early Years Foundation Stage, with play planned to reflect children’s needs, personalities and next steps. Experiences may include imaginative play, early communication, sensory exploration and hands-on activities that support curiosity.
Support is also in place for children who need a little more help along the way, with a qualified SENCO within the nursery. Outdoor time can add balance to the day too, with a refurbished garden space that offers fresh air, movement and opportunities to explore.
Families are welcomed as partners, with open communication that helps routines feel consistent between home and nursery.

Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager

Abbie Williams

My name is Abbie Williams and I am the Nursery Manager at Cherrystone, I have been at Cherrystone since 2015. I began my journey here as a trainee nursery nurse and, through dedication, hard work, and a passion for early years education, I worked my way up to become Nursery Manager.

During my time at Cherrystone, I have worked across all age groups, gaining valuable experience and knowledge throughout the nursery. I have also completed numerous training courses, including Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, First Aid, and many more, allowing me to support both the children and staff to the highest standard.

I have a particular passion for supporting children with additional needs and have previously held the role of Nursery SENCO. I am committed to ensuring that every child in our setting is well cared for and able to learn and develop in a fun, safe, and stimulating environment where they can thrive and be fully prepared for their next stage of learning.

I am proud to lead the team here at Cherrystone, who all share the same commitment, passion, and dedication to providing the very best care and experiences for every child and family.

Both of my children attend CherryStone and are so happy here. It is fantastic to see how they have both developed during their time at the nursery and the new skills they continue to learn. The staff have always been very supportive and kind, and are always attentive to the needs of the kids. The communication that we receive each day as to what they have been up to is gratefully received.

My 15 month old has been here for a few months now and loves it here. Staff are all brilliant. The updates on the app are really reassuring along with the pictures to see how she's getting on. Her eating has also come on so well.

I love the stuff, everyone is very nice and helpful. I just would like to have more details of what is served to the kids, as my little one is 1 and a half, and his diet is changing so much, it would help me to have a better view of what he accepts and what not, the amount, the type of diet etc... but at this point most of my expectations were achieved!

Review of CherryStone Nursery

My child has been attending CherryStone for 3 months now and is part of the wonderful baby room. He absolutely loves going, smiles every time he's dropped off and is learning/developing so much. The attentiveness and care that the staff give him doesn't go unnoticed. As a parent who is extremely busy, I feel so comfortable knowing that he is being looked after and being nurtured. I appreciate the work the staff put into the communication every single day and they are extremely thorough. Each process is done with care and precision.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

I can't thank the team in the baby room enough for how amazing they've been. They made my child's transition into nursery so smooth and have been incredibly supportive throughout. The artwork they send home is always so sweet, and it's lovely to see what activities my little one has been up to during the day. What really stands out is how genuinely excited the team gets when my child learns something new and shares it with them - it means so much as a parent. A perfect example was this morning: drop-off was difficult, and I asked if they could call once my child had settled. Before I had even reached my destination, I already had a reassuring call to say everything was okay. That kind of care and communication means the world. A huge thank you to everyone in the baby room and the wider nursery team. I'm really looking forward to continuing this journey with you all!

Review of CherryStone Nursery

The Tiny Todd's team have settled my daughter in extremely well. She has built a strong bond with her key worker and the other girls in the room. She loves the activities they provide especially painting, which she does not get to do at home. The nursery cater for my daughter's dairy allergy, offering her the same meals as the other children. The office team are always friendly and available when needed.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

Both my children have attended CherryStone Nursery, my daughter from 15-months (now 7-years) and my son from 9-months (now 3-years). I can honestly say there isn't a day that I question my decision to send my children to CherryStone. The staff at the nursery, whether it be in the rooms, office or kitchen, are superb, they are so caring, warm and lovely to deal with. They clearly love the children they look after and enjoy their work and the children love them too, my son runs into nursery every morning, barely looking back to say goodbye! Pre-Covid, drop-off/pick-up was in the rooms, you could see the facilities were very clean and well stocked with toys and resources. The transition post lockdown has been easy and done safely. There are a wide variety of activities planned each day to entertain and educate the children. I love how the children learn in such a fun environment that they don't realise they are learning! I recommend this nursery to anyone, it has been the best start in life for my two.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

My daughter has been attending Cherrystone Nursery since she was 9-months-old. I chose the nursery due to the proximity to our house and the station but when I went to drop off my forms it was pick up time and I noticed children didn't want to go home! They wanted more cuddles from the staff and to go back inside and play. This is when I knew I was making the right choice and my daughter has settled so well despite being a lockdown baby, she happily lets me hand her over and gets excited when she sees her red nursery bag! The staff are amazing and I particularly like that any cover staff are from within the company so they are still familiar faces for my daughter. They go above and beyond to make time for parents and handover and genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and looking after my daughter. I cannot recommend Cherrystone highly enough.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

Our son has been attending CherryStone Nursery since he was 10 months old and has loved every moment (we looked at CherryStone Nursery on a recommendation from a family friend as we were new to the area and had no idea about local provisions). The staff are all very caring and my son has always enjoyed attending, no matter which room he has been in. It is so reassuring to know your child will be so well looked after. The communication has always been good, I have always felt well informed and am very pleased that my second child will be starting at CherryStone Nursery in 2021.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

My son started CherryStone Nursery at 8.5 months old and he is now 3 years old. The staff have been amazing throughout, from his first baby steps to his climbing and running in the garden the staff have supported his development in all areas in every way possible. I can’t thank them all enough. My son has built such lovely relationships with his teachers throughout the year and also his friends that I hear endless stories about. Since returning after lockdown my nerves were eased with the reassurance of office staff as well as his teachers, everyone at CherryStone Nursery goes above and beyond. I will be very very sad to see him leave CherryStone for school in a couple of years time. Thank you CherryStone!

Review of CherryStone Nursery

Both our children have attended CherryStone since being babies and we are so pleased with the nursery. The staff are so caring, warm and fun. The range of activities is so wide, lots of role-playing, creative and messy play as well as jolly phonics, storytime, fun fitness, soft play the list goes on. The garden is really well equipped and it's great they have such a lovely outside space to play. The food is all home-cooked and includes lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Our children have loved nursery, they've come on so well, made friends for life and it's set them up well for school. We can't recommend CherryStone nursery highly enough.

It’s a lovely place. So friendly and warm and the staff love the children. It has managed to bounce back from lockdown well with no loss of the care and love provided to the children. It’s clean, well-run, great with SEN children and the food smells amazing and I have been told it tastes good too. I highly recommend this nursery.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

I have 2 boys, aged 3 and 1 who both attend CherryStone nursery. They absolutely love going there. The staff are amazing from the office, kitchen and nursery workers. They always have a smile on their face and it's a lovely friendly, fun and welcoming environment. Both my boys are developing so well with their social and communication skills and love the variety of learning, games and play that they get at the nursery. The outdoor space is great with lots of toys, playhouse and bikes etc. and the indoor small soft play is great! The activities are age-specific and now my eldest is in pre-school he is cooking and doing yoga, tennis and other sports he hasn't done before which he gets so excited about! I would highly recommend CherryStone to any parents.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

Our second child is currently attending CherryStone Nursery (April 2016 - April 2020). We cannot sing their praises enough. Stable, experienced and skilled staff who know the individual children and support their needs; a very warm, creative, varied, nurturing environment; when concerns/queries arose, we have always felt confident to raise it with staff and if needed with management. Our concerns are always responded to in an empathetic manner and agreed actions/inquiries are followed up and responded to promptly, in a way that we felt heard. Stable and welcoming management is a great asset, and the warmth exhibited by all staff (kitchen, cleaning, teaching and management) have always been exemplary. My now 6-year old was very well prepared for school. She stayed in CherryStone preschool until she joined Reception in her current school. The transition was smooth. She emerged from CherryStone as a confident, socially very well adapted, and developmentally well prepared for school.

My son has been going to this nursery since he was about 6 months of age. He will shortly be leaving soon to join school in September. Over the 4 years, the staff have been absolutely amazing and have taken a real personal approach with my son. We have devised plans to improve behaviour, socialising and of course learning. I could not be happier with the amount of care shown to my son. Would highly recommend this nursery!

Review of CherryStone Nursery

A particular member of staff in the baby room is an asset. Handing my baby over to her on my first day back to work was easy. She made me feel at ease and the care she has provided my child has been outstanding and second to none. He generally loves her and flaps like a fish out of water as soon as he sees her face on the board by his peg. She is professional and understanding. Nothing is too much for her and she goes above and beyond in everything. As a first time mum, this is all I could ask for in a key person at nursery; for them to adore my child, just as much as I do.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

My son loves going to Cherrystone Nursery. The nurturing environment, experienced staff, great facilities and activities have supported his growth into a bright, confident, happy, inquisitive little boy. From the baby room all the way to PreSchool I've been very happy with the tailored care at every stage. He has made such wonderful friends, and in turn, we've made great friends of the parents. I've recommended the nursery to friends, and my daughter is due to start soon too.

Review of CherryStone Nursery

My son has settled in well into CherryStone Nursery. All the staff are friendly, approachable and enjoy their job. The nursery provides different fun activities every day which they use to develop learning. The staff have communicated with me very well since day one. The outside play area and rooms are all to a high standard. We have all been really happy with the nursery that we have increased the days my son attends. The food is always very healthy and presented well. I will and do recommend this nursery 100%
