Our people

We invest in our team so they can give their best to your child. Through training, support and real opportunities to grow, we build a team that stays, develops and thrives. Strong practitioners become strong leaders. Strong leaders build strong teams. And strong teams create the nurturing environments where children flourish.

Confident, qualified practitioners

Trained from day one and every day after

Every team member completes a full induction before working with children. From there, learning never stops. Our in-house training covers safeguarding, child development, communication and inclusive practice. Every team member also holds a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, refreshed every three years.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility

Everyone in our nurseries completes Level 2 Safeguarding and Child Protection training annually, alongside Prevent Duty training. Room Leaders attend Interagency Child Protection courses. Our Designated Safeguarding Leads complete advanced training and attend cluster meetings every six months to stay current.

Deep expertise in child development

We train our teams to understand how children grow and learn at every stage, from birth to five. Our practitioners know what to look for, how to support progress, and when to have conversations with you about your child's development.

Specialists in how children learn best

Our teams are trained in approaches that help every child thrive. This includes buildingearly literacy and mathematics through play, using outdoor spaces to support physical development and curiosity, and neuro-affirming practice that meets each child where they are. Great learning happens when children feel understood and have space to explore.

Stable, supported teams

Flexible working that fits real life

We believe in flexible working so our team can balance work and home life. Family by name, family by nature. We actively support colleagues through the joys and challenges of growing their own families, including maternity, paternity and adoption leave.

Wellbeing matters here

People who feel supported do their best work. We have trained Mental Health First Aiders across the business and partner with Samaritans, Mind and Citizens Advice for confidential support. We recognise and support neurodivergent colleagues, and are committed to supporting those going through the menopause or living with endometriosis. Our colleague assistance programme is there for every team member throughout their journey with us.

Diversity, ethnicity and inclusion

We treat each individual as a person in their own right, with equal rights and responsibilities. We are committed to equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children, families and colleagues.

Room to grow

A clear pathway from day one

We offer a clear career path from Nursery Assistant to Area Manager, Level 2 and 3 Practitioner, Room Leader, Early Years Teacher, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, Nursery Manager, and specialist roles. Every step is supported with training, mentoring and development.

Apprenticeships for everyone

Apprenticeships are available from Level 1 through to Level 6. Whether you are new to early years or want to develop further, our programmes give you qualifications and hands-on experience to build a rewarding career.

Develop your own story

We foster a supportive environment where every team member can thrive. If you want to deepen your understanding of early childhood education, develop leadership skills, or grow in new directions, you will find options to go further here.

Programmes that grow great leaders

We have developed two in-house leadership programmes for different stages of the journey. Aspiring Leaders is for practitioners taking their first step into a Room Leader role, building confidence, empathy and practical skills across five sessions. Leading with Purpose is a six-session course for managers, deputies and experienced leaders who want to lead with clarity and shape culture. Both ensure the people guiding your child's day are supported, skilled and always growing.

Leadership at every level

Leadership is not just about job titles. It shows up in the way you support children, work alongside colleagues, and take responsibility for the care and learning in your room. We nurture leadership qualities at every level.
