About CherryLands Nursery

CherryLands Nursery is an OFSTED GOOD 2025 nursery in Weybridge, offering a small, welcoming setting where children are supported to settle happily and thrive. Our team takes a calm, caring approach, building strong relationships with each child and working closely with families to support confidence and wellbeing.
Children are cared for in two age- and stage-appropriate rooms, with learning shaped by the Early Years Foundation Stage. Experiences may include stories, messy play, early communication, creative activities and opportunities for independence as children grow.
Outdoor time is a real strength of the setting, with two spacious garden areas available for children to enjoy. A dedicated baby garden supports younger children, while older children benefit from a larger space to run, explore and develop coordination.
There may also be opportunities for gardening and nature-based play, helping children build curiosity and care for the world around them. Throughout the day, gentle routines help children feel secure while enjoying a varied and engaging experience.

Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager

Diane Beech

Hi, I'm Diane. I've worked in early years settings since 1994. I moved to Surrey from Staffordshire in June 2010 and joined CherryLands as a Level 3 qualified nursery nurse.

During my time at CherryLands, I have gained experience in all the different age groups. In April 2023, I took on the role of nursery manager.

I have supporting certificates including Safeguarding Children, Safer Recruitment, Paediatric First Aid and Basic Food Hygiene, among many more. I am also the Health and Safety representative for the nursery.

It is rewarding to know that I make a difference to the children within my care and that CherryLands is providing a safe, caring and loving environment where children can thrive and feel at home.

Our Curriculum

At Cherrylands, our curriculum is shaped by children's ideas, interests and fascinations. These help us plan and implement activities where children are encouraged and inspired to learn across four areas: sense of belonging, independent learner, love of the natural world and confident communicator.

We focus on nurturing relationships, embracing diversity, managing self-care, making choices, showing curiosity about the world and experiencing a language-rich environment. Children have opportunities to dig, plant and grow, engage in song and story, and share their ideas and questions.

Our aim is to make learning fun and enjoyable through active learning and purposeful play, giving children opportunities to explore, investigate and learn at their own pace.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

My son has settled in really nicely to the nursery. that staff are really lovely and have supported my child and us parents through this new transition of being at nursery. my child always looks so happy in the pictures on the app everyday. it makes being away from him easier when i get to see that he is having such a great time. the only downside to the nursery is that the actual setting itself looks old and run down. i have noticed holes in walls and stained ceiling panels and in general looking a bit out dated. but the service provided by the staff is very professional and you can see that they work really hard to ensure the children are safe, happy and healthy.

I'm happy to chose this nursery for my child, wonderful staff, attentive and involved in my child's needs, he did not speak or understand English very well and I can say that for a year since he has been part of this team, he speaks, understands English, is happy to participate in all the activities prepared by the staff, learns and discovers new things every day! Lovely nursery. They seem to care about the children and treat them all as individuals. My child is very happy there and well settled. Lots of activities for the children daily. We never worry about her there, she goes in happy and is happy when we pick her up too.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

Just wanted to express my gratitude to the staff of Cherrylands. The staff is very friendly and caring for every single child as their own. We have had a previous negative experience with another nursery, which my daughter attended for 2 days. I couldn't send her again on the 3rd day, as she was crying the whole day and no one ever called us. She was hiccuping for hours because of the crying, after we picked her up. Then we came across Cherrylands. Everything has changed from the very first day! My daughter was very happy and joyful. The teachers at the nursery became her best friends and when my child was at home on the weekends, she was always asking about her teachers and saying that she wants to go to the nursery. Finally we are completely confident and with peace of mind to leave my child in good hands. The staff and the management are great and I am so happy that my daughter finally found her 2nd home there. Thank you all !!!

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! My 2 and a half year old son transitioned here from another nursery, and we have been so pleased with how quickly he settled in. The staff are absolutely wonderful, so caring, loving, and genuinely dedicated to the children's well-being and development. Since joining, my son has learned so much and is excited to go every day. I couldn't have asked for a better environment for him to grow and thrive in. Thank you to the amazing team for making such a positive impact on his early years!

Review of CherryLands Nursery

We love Cherrylands Nursery. The manager is brilliant. The setting is clean, tidy and well maintained with a great range of toys and equipment in good condition. Super outdoors space they use every day. The chef is so considerate, the menu is extensive and diverse. My child always eats all their food, if not seconds! Open plan classrooms. It's a nice intimate size too. Very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable staff. They celebrate lots of festivals and events plus do lots of crafts.

My daughter has been attending Cherrylands Nursery for almost two years, and she loves it. The staff are wonderful and very supportive, providing a caring and nurturing environment. The nursery has a lovely outdoor space and offers a variety of activities every day, along with nice events throughout the year. They prepare all the meals on-site with a fantastic caterer, and the menu is thoughtfully planned. We highly recommend Cherrylands Nursery to other parents.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

Our son attends this nursery in the under 2 room. We are delighted by the progress he is making, his social skills have really developed over the last 6 months and he gets on really well with other children. We love the outdoor space at the nursery and the pictures of him playing outside everyday are lovely. The themed weeks are really good as they have given him an understanding of events in the calendar like Christmas and Halloween. The staff at the nursery are very attentive and really know our son and his behaviours. The staff really care and our son has built a great relationship with them. He loves the food and the variety of menus. This has seen him develops his tastes so he is much more willing to try new food at home. Thank you so much for looking after our son. We feel we made an excellent choice sending our so to this nursery.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

Nice nursery, my toddler is very happy here. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They plan a huge range of activities and put the effort into your child's development with messy play and arts and crafts every day. The inside space is cosy and outside play areas are quite big with a lot of toys and activities for the children sectioned off by age. Food is very well planned and great quality with very little processed food unless for treats at parties.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

My son went to Cherrylands from when he had just turned 1 to when he was nearly 3, starting in the baby's room and moving up into the toddler and little learners' room. We have just relocated and so had to leave the nursery, which we are still devastated about! I was nervous handing over my child to a nursery for the first time, having not done that before and not knowing what to expect. I feel so lucky that we found Cherrylands. It has a family feel due to its size and the care of the staff - you get to know all of the teachers who are all fab, nurturing, and caring. My son settled in quickly when he started and loved every day that he spent there until his very last. We were always happy and comfortable knowing (and seeing) that he was learning, growing, developing, being nurtured, being tended to, and being cared for. I wish more nurseries could be like Cherrylands, and we miss it! I would genuinely recommend it to anyone with children in the area.

Our daughter has been at Cherrylands for nearly a year and she absolutely loves it! I was very nervous before she started but the team were wonderful and helped her settle in really quickly. It is a small nursery which means that all the staff know all the children really well and it has a family feel to it. Our daughter has thrived there over the last year. The team are so warm and kind and always thoroughly responsive to any questions we have as parents. The events the Cherrylands team run to mark special occasions are wonderful and give such a lovely insight into all the fun that the kids have on a daily basis! We highly recommend the nursery!

My daughter has been at Cherrylands for six months, and has settled in really well. She can’t wait for her nursery days to come round, and goes running up the path when we arrive! The staff are kind, caring and professional and make the effort to get to know the whole family as well as the children. Review of CherryLands Nursery

I have two children in this nursery (baby and preschool room). The staff for both rooms are so caring and very thoughtful about each child's individual interests. They are fantastic at building activities around their interests. My three-year-old is currently very captivated by space, and the staff have turned the outhouse into a 'space shed'. The outside space is also incredible!

I am so happy that I have chosen Cherrylands! My daughter loves them; all the girls are so lovely, careful, funny and looking after my daughter. When she was sick, they called me to ask about her, and this really melted my heart. My daughter went to Cherrylands for one year before we relocated. We were so pleased with everything about the nursery and she really thrived there. All of the staff are so friendly, professional and caring. The communication via the app and monthly news was incredible and we felt so informed. My daughter also has a milk protein allergy, and Cherrylands catered for this so well. I am also a primary school teacher and could see how well the children are prepared for reception. I would recommend this nursery to anyone!

My son has recently started school so is no longer at Cherrylands, but I can safely say he had the best few years there ever. The staff were always attentive, friendly and creative and he was excited to go to see his teachers and friends when he attended. The learning environment is enriched with lots of lovely resources and themes and the outside area is amazing! My baby will be starting there next year and we couldn’t be happier as we know she will be looked after in exactly the same way.

Cherrylands is a wonderful nursery. My three year old has been going for six months, after moving him from another nursery, and I couldn't be happier that we moved him to Cherrylands. The staff are so kind and warm and the communication is excellent. My son settled quickly and always looks forward to going to nursery. They have lovely events through the year such as a mother's/father's/grandparent's tea, which is a lovely touch and really makes you feel part of something. I couldn't recommend it enough to people! I have a baby starting there next year and it's very reassuring to know he will be going to such a lovely nursery with a great team.

We have been so happy with Cherrylands Nursery. My 3-year-old started two years ago in the baby room and settled really quickly. The nursery has a homely and friendly atmosphere and my son loves attending. He talks fondly about all the staff. They have a lovely outdoor area inside a park so plenty of space to run around. I have been impressed with how they have supported my son's development during his time there and their patience working through any issues. They clearly put a lot of thought into getting children ready for school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

10/10! Our son attends Cherrylands Nursery and joined around his 3rd birthday, previously he had been to another nursery in the area. From the initial visit to settling in and then his full days, it has been superb. We can't fault his time here. All the staff are wonderful and it is such a nurturing, caring, patient and fun environment with a great ethos. They have gone the extra mile in certain areas and we have been thrilled since our son first started at Cherrylands. The setting has a great outdoor area and the team is constantly improving areas and thinking of great things to do. Thank you! My son attended Cherrylands Nursery from 1.5 years old and still attends to this day. The staff are all extremely lovely, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable in child development. My son extremely enjoys it and we can see that he’s happy whenever he comes home. The only minus we have is about the schedule flexibility but that is very little inconvenience in comparison to the amazing environment they provide.

We are thrilled with Cherrylands Nursery. Both our children attend the nursery and are so happy, every day they come home and are excited to tell us about their day. Our youngest started when only 10 months and the baby room was fantastic, she settled in really fast. Our oldest has a speech delay and this was first spotted and flagged by the nursery and they have been incredible at supporting him and getting him referred. We would happily recommend this nursery to other parents!

I couldn’t recommend this nursery more. The happiness and well-being of the children are central to everything they do. I’ve had two daughters there and both have progressed fantastically through a fun and varied curriculum. Great efforts have also been made to improve the outdoor learning environment and it looks brilliant! The staff are very knowledgeable and make the effort to build good relationships with the parents. They also prepare the children very well for school when they are at the appropriate age. If I ever have another child I know that I would send them to Cherrylands Nursery.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

My little boy just loves going to nursery! He has been going since eleven months and is now three. The staff are so friendly and caring and supportive to his development and any concerns I have as a parent. The Parent App is a great tool to check on how he is doing through the day and gives great support when away with work and I can see easily how much he has eaten, what he is playing and his daily review with all the other bits that may happen throughout the day! He comes home full of stories of all his friends and what they have been playing in the fabulous garden which is a great size with lots of areas of creative play, mud kitchen, bug hotel, climbing frames and balancing, bike area. A great little nursery with a lovely team.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

Cherrylands is a wonderful nursery. All members of staff are very kind and professional - you can tell they love their work. There is real attention to detail in getting to know all of the children as individuals and ensuring that the care they receive is first rate. The children get to participate in a huge range of activities in a day from painting to looking at different objects in tactile trays to lots of time to play in the garden. I love the use of the app as you can see what your child is up to during the day and staff report in detail to you how your little one has been throughout the day at pick up time. I have no doubt my daughter loves her time at Cherrylands and I am so pleased that she is looked after by such lovely and caring professionals.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

Overall I am happy with my son's nursery. It has a nice family feel as it is small and friendly and everyone knows everyone. The outdoor space is particularly impressive. Parking is also great and always available. The staff are friendly but sometimes the feedback is fairly generic and there is rarely artwork or drawings that my son has done. It would be nice to see a bit more interactive learning as it can sometimes feel a bit 'creche' like. The nursery is also inflexible on day changes etc, but overall a positive experience with caring staff.

Review of CherryLands Nursery

My daughter has been at Cherrylands for the past eighteen months, starting in the under twos room and now in the two to fives room. She loves it there and has progressed for better than many of her peers at other nurseries in the area. We chose Cherrylands because it is smaller and has a more personal touch, plus was better value. It has since received an "outstanding" by Ofsted, which is much deserved. My only negative would be the building/facilities, but there are plans agreed to expand/change these. I have recommended it to many people - the only issue is its so good they don't have many spaces.

Our experience with Cherrylands has been great. You can see the passion in all the senior staff. All of the team members do a great job. The new staff sometimes don't feel as passionate about the job but I think the longer they'll spend at Cherrylands Nursery the more they'll develop it.
