About Jigsaw Nursery School Pinner
Jigsaw Nursery School Pinner is an OFSTED GOOD (2024) nursery at Pinner Free Church on Paines Lane. The nursery, acquired in 2007, operates from three bright, spacious classrooms (Duckling, Robin, Owl rooms) for children aged 3 months to 5 years. It provides a welcoming environment focused on independence, with exceptional resources and nurturing support to help each child discover their unique potential.
Children explore through play-based learning in secure, age-appropriate rooms that encourage curiosity and growth. Experiences may include imaginative activities, early social skills and opportunities for self-directed discovery.
A large, all-weather, secluded outdoor area and nature garden support daily outdoor play. Children can engage in physical challenges, nature exploration and fresh-air activities in this safe space.
The dedicated team creates continuity and reassurance for families, with easy access via public transport and parking for stress-free drop-offs.

Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.
Meet Our Nursery Manager
Samantha Neal
My name is Sam, and I have worked at Family First for four and a half years, with a total of 16 years’ experience in childcare. I began my journey as an apprentice and have progressed to the role of Manager, demonstrating my commitment, dedication, and passion for early years education.
I hold a degree in Early Childhood Studies and am currently completing a Master’s degree in Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding, further strengthening my knowledge within the sector.
I strongly believe that every child deserves a positive start in life. In the early years, we play a crucial role in shaping the foundational skills that enable children to thrive. Providing a safe, nurturing, and enriched environment allows children to learn, develop, and grow with confidence.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is witnessing the transformation in children from their very first day at nursery to the day they leave. Seeing the positive impact that our team has made on their development is what inspires me every day.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.
&w=2048&q=75)
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to support children's overall development through four key areas: Self-Regulators, Confident Communicators, Sense of Belonging and Independent Learners. Together, these nurture independence, confidence, emotional wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging.
We support children to understand and manage their emotions through consistent routines and a safe, nurturing environment, helping them build resilience and emotional awareness. Communication skills are developed through play, storytelling and group activities, with adults modelling positive language and active listening.
Our inclusive environment encourages children to respect one another, celebrate differences and feel part of the wider community. We also encourage children to make choices, try new challenges and take responsibility for their learning, developing problem-solving skills and a positive attitude that prepares them for their next steps.
