Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.
Meet Our Nursery Manager
Auzma Kauser
Hi, I'm Auzma, the manager at Victoria House Day Nursery & Pre-School. I've been working in childcare since November 2012 and joined the nursery in 2023. I hold my Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children's and Young People's Learning and Development.
My career progression has been about joining early years and never stopping in what I'm able to provide. I've always worked to the best of my ability and shared this with the team I work in. Working through different early years settings and being able to lead and move nurseries towards positive journeys with support and reassurance from parents has been incredibly fulfilling.
My approach thinks about all aspects rather than focusing on one. I enjoy ensuring the team, parents, and children are thriving while in our care, providing an environment where all children have a nurturing, loving space.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.

Our Curriculum
Our vision is based on building strong, trusting relationships, offering a calm, inclusive environment where every child feels secure, valued and ready to learn. We focus on three key areas.
Confident Communicators: Children learn to express their needs, wants, ideas and feelings, use language confidently and know their voice matters and is always heard.
Strong Sense of Belonging: Children build warm, trusting relationships with adults and peers, feel emotionally safe to explore and share their thoughts, and understand that everyone is unique and different.
Proud of Who They Are: Children celebrate their achievements, build self-esteem, resilience and independence, and understand that working in partnership with their families supports their wellbeing.
These areas develop across our nursery, from secure attachments and early communication in our baby room, through growing independence and first friendships in our toddler room, to confident self-expression and readiness for school in preschool.
