Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.
Meet Our Nursery Manager
Auzma Kauser
Hi, I’m Auzma,
I am the Manager at Victoria House Day Nursery & Pre-School. I have worked in childcare since November 2012 and joined the nursery in September 2023. Throughout my career, I have achieved my Level 3 BTEC in Childcare, a Foundation Degree and a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Years. Continuing my education has allowed me to put academic learning into practice and share this knowledge with both the teams and families I have worked alongside.
My career progression has always focused on striving to achieve the very best, both personally and professionally. I have consistently worked to the highest standard and encouraged those around me to do the same. Over the years, I have undertaken a variety of roles within Early Years, each of which has helped shape my experience and passion for childcare. However, working as a Nursery Manager has been especially rewarding.
Supporting teams, building strong relationships with parents, and helping nurseries grow and thrive on positive journeys has been incredibly fulfilling. My approach considers every aspect of nursery life, ensuring that children, parents, and staff all feel valued, supported, and able to flourish. I am passionate about creating a nurturing, loving, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, happy, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.

Our Curriculum
Our vision is based on building strong, trusting relationships, offering a calm, inclusive environment where every child feels secure, valued and ready to learn. We focus on three key areas.
Confident Communicators: Children learn to express their needs, wants, ideas and feelings, use language confidently and know their voice matters and is always heard.
Strong Sense of Belonging: Children build warm, trusting relationships with adults and peers, feel emotionally safe to explore and share their thoughts, and understand that everyone is unique and different.
Proud of Who They Are: Children celebrate their achievements, build self-esteem, resilience and independence, and understand that working in partnership with their families supports their wellbeing.
These areas develop across our nursery, from secure attachments and early communication in our baby room, through growing independence and first friendships in our toddler room, to confident self-expression and readiness for school in preschool.
