My daughter Diana started attending this nursery just after she turned two, and now she's almost four. Choosing a nursery was a big decision for me as a mum, but looking back now, I know I couldn't have chosen better. She truly loves going there. Every morning she walks in happily, and every afternoon she comes out smiling - which tells me everything I need to know. Knowing she feels safe, cared for, and happy there means the world to me. All the teachers are incredibly kind, patient, and caring. You can genuinely see how much they love working with children. I also want to say how wonderful the management team is. Nina (Manager) is such a warm, supportive person and always helpful in any situation. Donna is equally lovely - both of them are amazing and always there when you need them. Before choosing this nursery, I visited several others in the area, but this one just felt right. Now I know it truly was the best choice for my daughter. Diana's mom

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Poppies. Our two children settled in beautifully - far beyond what we expected - and that's entirely thanks to the incredible team. Every single member of staff is exceptional: warm, enthusiastic, and truly passionate about what they do. Coming from a London nursery, we thought we had high standards, but Poppies has completely exceeded them. The level of care, attention, and love our children are receiving is simply on another level. Can not fault poppies day nursery. The staff are brilliant with the children and are really friendly and very approachable if we have any questions. We get daily updates regarding eating, nap times, nappies and get nice photos of our daughter having fun. All this is done through a very easy to use app. My daughter loves going to nursery and it has 100% helped with her confidence.

Our daughter has attended Poppies for nearly 6 months now in the under 2's room and we couldn't be happier with the nursery as a whole. Her excitement at drop off speaks for itself and not once has there been any tears (making it a lot easier for us to leave her!) We're first time parents both in full time employment and it makes such a difference knowing she's well looked after, safe and happy there. The communication has always been great both on emails and when the nursery need to call for any reason throughout the day, we always feel very kept in the loop. The daily updates on the app are very much appreciated to know nap durations, play descriptions and what she ate. All the staff are really friendly and caring and I feel they know and look after our daughter well and we couldn't ask for more. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

We are very happy with the care our daughter receives at Poppies. She has an allergy; this has always been taken incredibly seriously, and she really enjoys their carefully prepared, nutritious meals. The outdoor space is lovely, and her key workers are kind and caring. The additional family engagement events, like Fathers' Day play or a Carnival day on a Saturday, have also been thoughtful touches.

Our daughter has attended Poppies in Maidenhead since October 2023 and she is thriving. Her development has come on in leaps and she loves her key workers. It’s wonderful at the end of every day to see what she has been doing. She enjoys playing with all of her friends and eats all of her food. The meals prepared by the Chef are brilliant, a perfect combination of tasty and healthy. It’s a joy to see how she responds going into nursery in the morning and how happy she is during the day and when we pick her up. The staff at Poppies are amazing and we can't imagine her going to nursery anywhere else!

Review of Poppies Maidenhead

I will say firstly that my child does not have any hesitation in attending the nursery and has a good social time. He does enjoy it there with his friends. Since January 2023, the nursery has had 4 managers. This has meant there has been a lack of consistency and a huge lack of communication. The latest manager is trying to improve things where possible but this is too little too late for us and have withdrawn our child. The majority of the permanent staff are lovely, however, they are severely short-staffed. Rooms are always filled with cover staff meaning the children have a lack of consistency with their carers. We were asked to not bring our child in one day because of a lack of staff. There is a severe lack of feedback. Zero pictures or videos of activities our child has taken part in. No individual feedback. There has been one parent's evening in the last 12 months. We've had one observation since July 2023. We have spent thousands and feel ripped off. I wish I could write more.

Review of Poppies Maidenhead

Our two sons have been going to Poppies for 9 months now since we moved to the area. We were very pleased with how well and quickly they settled into the setting, both in the baby room and the preschool room. The team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and on the ball. The staff, both in the rooms and the senior staff, really care for the kids and take time to do proper handovers so we can support them together. The nursery itself is purpose-built so has plenty of space, outdoor areas, and easy parking. The facilities are much better than the other nurseries we saw in the area. The children enjoy the food and the activities, and our older son comes home talking about letters or new ideas he's come across in the books or the activities in preschool. Thank you Poppies.

Review of Poppies Maidenhead

Our son recently started at Poppies back in April after a move from London, and we have been so pleased with how well he has settled into the new setting. We looked at a lot of nurseries in the local area, and Poppies really ticked all the boxes for us in many ways. The team are incredibly friendly and has been so understanding when we had many delays with our move to Maidenhead, which was a huge relief! The nursery is purpose-built, clean and very conveniently located with great parking. Our son is in the toddler room, and he honestly loves going to nursery and often talks of his favourite teachers. This is a very obvious sign that the staff are incredibly caring, loving and nurturing to the children. They also have a great garden which I found was something not all nurseries had as we feel outdoor play is crucial for children. We would really recommend Poppies as it really is so important to feel your child is safe and happy, and we can 100% agree that we feel this at Poppies.

I viewed a handful of nurseries before I found Poppies in Maidenhead. I loved it as soon as I saw the lovely, clean, open space. The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home straight away. My little boy has been happy here since day one. My child loves playing with all the wooden toys and the sand pit. I would highly recommend Poppies.

Our son has been at Poppies Maidenhead for 3 months from 13 months old. All of the staff have been amazing at helping him (and us!) settle into a new routine of nursery and work. One member of staff, in particular, has been absolutely awesome and genuinely cares for the kids she is responsible for and our son has built up a great relationship with her. We are new to the area, so finding a nursery that worked for us was important. Really pleased we chose Poppies.

I am so glad we chose Poppies Day Nursery for our son's nursery, he loves going and we can see the development in his speech and actions such as tidying away at home. All the staff are brilliant and genuinely care about the children's well-being. Our son is so happy when he sees them approach the door as he arrives each day. The facilities are also great with an open door policy to playing outside in all weather along with a great selection of toys and books indoors. They also make an effort to provide lots of events such as dress-up days, parent's evenings, sports days, grandparent's day etc. Would highly recommend the nursery to anyone!

Our children have been at Poppies for over two years, with our eldest recently starting school, where she is now thriving thanks to the foundations she built at nursery. Both have always been very happy at the nursery and loved their room leaders and key carers. We were offered a lovely selection of breakfast dishes and warm drinks by one of the nursery staff. A very welcoming atmosphere greeted me at my grandparents' breakfast today. Reunited with my granddaughter I was instantly struck by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. It is evident that she is in a caring and ordered environment in which she is clearly settled and happy. We couldn't be happier with Poppies! After the (expected) tears with the settling in period our little one is now walking to the door and going in with a smile on her face and barely a look back at us! The staff are so lovely and friendly and consider everything to make sure you are comfortable with your baby being dropped off there. The nursery itself is great and it is so great that there is outdoor space for all ages (with littler ones having a separate one to use upstairs attached to their baby room) and it is used as much as possible in all sorts of weather! Communication from the nursery is great and the managers are so involved and helpful. No issues with the admin side of things which we've heard can be a sticking point in other local nurseries. They make a real effort to keep parents involved with parents' evenings, mothers/fathers' day teas and even a sports day coming up!

Our daughter has been with Poppies since the baby room and is now in preschool. She has always really enjoyed her time there and we have always felt the members of staff go above and beyond in the care they provide. She took a while to settle into preschool but the recent changes made and the new plans for the room and for her learning have really helped. My son has been at Poppies since November last year. It has been great - they have been clear about my son's development if there are any issues and where he is doing really well. Most recently the nursery put on a mother's day tea. This was a great opportunity to go into the nursery and observe/play with my son! He showed me his favourite bits (unfortunately he has a love of bugs but never mind) and it demonstrated how the nursery accommodates all of the children's needs and interests. More generally, what I really will praise the nursery for is their communication of upcoming events etc. so you are able to plan and manage life effectively.

Excellent nursery, I have nothing but praise for them. Exceptional caring and friendly staff. We are overwhelmed with all the support and love my 4 years old autistic son has been given in the past 3 years and we really appreciate it. He is receiving a lot of 1:1 support and they are also providing a wide range of delicious, healthy, nutritional gluten and dairy-free meals for him. My 2 years old daughter is also absolutely thriving there. They both love and enjoy the variety of fun activities, and garden play and come home very happy after a busy day at the nursery. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We were delighted recently to attend a Mother's Day celebration hosted by the preschool at Poppies nursery. The event was an opportunity to see the children in situ for the first time in a while due to Covid restrictions, and it was evident that they loved enjoying the indoor and outdoor space. We have been delighted with Poppies Day Nursery Maidenhead. Our son has attended since May 2019 and we were so pleased with how quickly he settled in the Baby Room. When he returned to Big Explorers after lockdown, our son was initially quite unsettled. The manager and team really went out of their way to make him feel happy, secure and relaxed and after a short while, he was back to his usual cheerful, confident self and looking forward to going in the mornings. He is now in Pre-School and it is so lovely to see his confidence continue to grow and hear him talk about all the activities he does and hear about the staff and other children. The staff are incredibly caring, friendly and do everything they can to make learning fun and exciting. Days are well planned with a variety of activities for all weathers that are both engaging and educational. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces are great and the menu offered is varied and full of healthy options.

My son attended Poppies Day Nursery for two years and ever since he joined, the staff always went above and beyond to accommodate us. My son thoroughly enjoyed his time at the nursery and was very sad to move on to school. Poppies ensured that my son was ready for this transition and every day he was learning new skills. My daughter has been attending Poppies for the last 6 months. She joined when she was 8 months. We have had the best experience, they are so caring in Poppies. All I can say is that she happily walks in in the morning and never wants to leave in the afternoon, we have to drag her out literally. She is happy, content, and learns lots. She has an egg allergy and they are being so caring and careful, never had a problem. Totally recommended.

It's hard to let go of your dearest baby into someone else's care, but Poppies managed this with so much compassion and consideration of our daily routine at home. My daughter smiles the minute she arrives at the front door, and I know she receives the best care when she is there, as well as being stimulated in a way that I couldn't do on my own at home. It's really easy to keep track of her days with the app as well as the round up the friendly staff gives at the end of the day. Shout out to the chef too as he has been very flexible with our weaning journey. I would highly recommend.

We are so happy that our son goes to Poppies in Maidenhead and really rate the team there. The managers and the team are outgoing and fun and the days are well planned with a variety of activities for all weathers that are engaging and educational. Our son comes home happy and relaxed and enjoys going every day. The free flow space works really well with the children being outside a lot and the inside space is large and cheerful without being cluttered. Most days our son comes home clean too as care is taken that he doesn’t get crazy messy. The menu is exceptional with loads of choices including breakfast and a wide range of world food and vegetarian options. The team keeps us updated every day with what our son has been doing, providing us with great feedback and conversation points for dinner time at home. We will be keeping our son at Poppies until he starts school and I know he will be very sad to leave!
