Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.
Meet Our Nursery Manager
Stephanie Lascelles
I have worked in childcare since 2010, and every day brings new achievements — not only for myself, but also for our team, parents, and, of course, the children.
I began my career as a college placement student at Nursery on the Hill and was offered a full-time role after completing my Level 3 Childcare studies. After a few years, I explored different nursery settings to understand how various environments provide care and support for children and families.
I returned to Nursery on the Hill in 2023 as Deputy Manager, which truly felt like coming home. Since then, I’ve worked alongside our dedicated team to ensure high-quality childcare is provided to all families.
Becoming a Nursery Manager has always been my goal, and fulfilling this role here is one of my proudest achievements. Making a difference in families’ lives is at the heart of what we do. Watching children flourish and supporting families through new milestones is incredibly rewarding.
Having a passionate team who want the very best start for every child really is the icing on the cake. I believe that when our commitment matches a child’s imagination, the possibilities are endless.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.
&w=2048&q=75)
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum follows a motto of WE CAN, giving every child the opportunity to thrive at their own pace. We believe all children develop at different stages, but all can achieve at their own level.
WE CAN stands for Wonder and Explore, Engage Effectively, Communicate Confidently, Actively Promote Self-Care and Independence, and Negotiate Problems and Positively Take Risks.
Across the nursery, our practitioners weave WE CAN into daily experiences, creating a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, build confidence and develop independence. Our approach recognises each child's unique journey, supporting them to take safe risks, solve problems and grow as capable, curious learners.
