About Brimpton House Nursery
Brimpton House Nursery is an OFSTED OUTSTANDING (2020) nursery in Kelvedon, Essex, on the High Street with free front-street parking for easy drop-offs. At the heart of this welcoming village community serving Kelvedon and nearby Feering, our home-from-home setting cares for children from 3 months to 5 years. We believe it is the little things that make children and families feel truly happy, using our Key Person approach so every child builds a special bond with someone who understands their individual needs.
Our caring team actively encourages parents to share information and play an involved role in nursery life. Cosy, smaller rooms for under-twos provide gentle, home-like warmth, while our spacious upstairs environment for over-twos nurtures independence, problem-solving and growing social confidence.
Our generous tree-shaded garden features an all-weather surface and thoughtfully chosen wooden structures, inviting children to develop gross motor skills and enjoy fresh air whatever the season. Long-standing team members and hands-on apprenticeships ensure consistent, knowledgeable care rooted in real experience.

Nutritional Approach
We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.
All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager
Kelly Everitt
Hi, I'm Kelly, the manager at Brimpton House Nursery. I joined in 2018, but I've been working in early years for over two decades. After gaining my Level 3 qualification at college, I worked my way up from a part-time practitioner to manager. Along the way, I've gained a Level 4 qualification in children's care, learning and development, a Level 5 in early years senior practitioner, and a Level 3 in both management and SENco.
I am passionate about ensuring children get the best start in life to help them continue through their school years and beyond. I strive to provide an environment where children feel at home, happy and keen to explore new experiences.
I'm a very hands-on manager and ensure that I spend quality time getting to know each individual child. I believe it's important to spend time in the rooms, mentoring staff and creating exciting play opportunities for the children.
Parent partnership is very important to me. I know that working together as one is a great way to support children to develop and become confident, independent individuals who grow to develop a love of learning.

Our Commitments
Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.
&w=2048&q=75)
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is called HICUP - Happy and Healthy, Independent, Confident, Unique and Proud. We use HICUP throughout the nursery to teach fundamental values and create meaningful learning opportunities for every child. Each room adapts how HICUP is woven into daily experiences, which may include group discussions, stories, role play, music and home learning activities.
Our practitioners use HICUP to extend learning, reflect together with children and ensure our curriculum responds to individual needs and developmental stages. We've even created a nursery bear song that children love to sing.
