About The Little School Daycare

The Little School Daycare is a welcoming nursery in Brentford, West London. Rated GOOD by Ofsted in 2024, we welcome children from babyhood to pre-school age into bright, spacious rooms where strong safeguarding and nurturing care help every child feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
Our spacious setting is designed to support every stage of early childhood development, with light-filled learning environments that encourage children to explore, create, play and rest throughout the day. Our experienced team builds strong relationships with children and families, creating a positive atmosphere where children grow in confidence and independence.

Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager

Anna Malec

Hi, I'm Anna. I joined The Little School in 2005, having worked in childcare since 2003, starting as an au pair and nanny. The nursery supported me in achieving my Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and has always encouraged professional development. I was the nursery SENCo for 10 years, supporting many children with additional needs, and I'm currently completing my Level 5 Nursery Manager apprenticeship.

I've always been passionate about working with children and knew from the age of ten that my career would be in childcare or teaching. It's incredibly fulfilling to watch babies and young children learn, develop and grow into confident individuals ready for school.

The Little School is very close to my heart. Over the past 20 years, it has been a huge part of my professional and personal life. My own children attended from the baby room to preschool, and I am grateful for the love, care and education they received.

It's a lovely little nursery, staff are very kind and supportive, the classrooms are very well sized and the kids all well cared for. It has one of the largest outdoors areas I've seen in the area as I viewed a few before choosing The Little School. I now have 2 children here, in both the baby room and preschool class, and am very happy.

Since our first meeting at nursery we have always been greeted with such warmth and friendliness by all the staff. Ronnie loves coming to nursery and everyday his confidence grows more. The staff have shown him such gentle care and we feel so comfortable leaving him here with them. The staff really are truly wonderful and we cant thank them enough for all they do. We are so glad we chose The Little School for Ronnie!

Really lovely and supportive nursery. My son, now nearly 3, has had a great experience here and is very happy and developing well. My little boy thoroughly enjoys his time at the nursery and his relationship with the staff is lovely to see. He has lots of fun completing a range of different activities, which is shown in the daily updates we receive on the app. I have also noticed a huge improvement in his developmental skills as a result of the activities carried out. Good sized room, up to 18 kids in baby room. Room will be separated into 2 during nap times. Will have 2 outside walks, 1 maybe to the park. Looking forward to starting settling to see how baby gets on.

My two-year-old son has been attending The Little School Daycare since August 2024, and our experience has been absolutely wonderful. From the very beginning, he has been exceptionally well cared for by the loving and attentive staff. Every day he is happy, engaged and excited to play, learn and interact with his friends. Lovely nursery with very friendly and communicative staff. Daily updates via the app with photos. Varied activities. Stay and play sessions, open weekends. Soft play on-site is a brilliant addition. I had one child just in the preschool (graduated 2022) and one now in pre-school who went through the baby and toddler groups too. They've both been brilliantly looked after and are/were always happy on pick up.

We have been so happy with the care and attention our child has received at The Little School Nursery. The staff are always very welcoming and informative and he clearly has a great time. We love seeing the daily updates and seeing the pictures of him and his friends as well as a bit about the activity. The menu is great and varied and it's great to see you have lots of different type types of food. Highly highly recommend Little School Nursery to everyone.

Review of The Little School Daycare

We are very happy with the care our daughter receives at the nursery. They provide a wide range of activities developing various skills, they encourage independence and have a lovely team who look after her. Both key workers have been great and kind for her. The communication from the nursery is great too, you get detailed breakdowns of the days and are kept up to date with what they are doing. They also listen to your needs and routines and happily fit them in to what they are doing. I also really like that they take them out to the park in nicer weather. This is the second child the nursery has looked after for us. Our eldest left them ready for school.

Review of The Little School Daycare

My son attended this nursery from when he was 5 months old. He is now 4 and just left a week ago as he started school. He had a fantastic time there but I have to admit the main thing that I won't ever forget is how caring and loving his carers have been. I was in tears on the last day as they were like second mothers to him. The learning was great and my son is autistic. Because of the head of SEND, we got a quick diagnosis and now he will receive more support. They discovered very quickly what my son is mainly interested in and they focused on that also and developed his love for animals which I know will be lifelong. The food he loved from when we started weaning and their food is delicious and healthy. He always ate all his food. They also helped me potty train my son even though it was challenging because of his autism. He is now potty trained. He has made wonderful friends there who we will stay in contact with. The carers have planted seeds that will grow forever.

Amazing Nursery, my child has a brilliant time here and is well looked after. We get learning reports and daily updates on how our child is doing and you can see the level of excellent care provided by the little school nursery. My child has also come on leaps and bounds from being here and it’s really noticeable. Every penny is well spent and I feel happy knowing my child is looked after and enjoying being there.

Review of The Little School Daycare

We have had both our children in this nursery over the last 6 years. How wonderful! Food- Always varied, healthy options with occasional treats. Observations- Always everyday feedback with an observation diary updated as per the curriculum. CCTV- Isn't any but I'm also not a fan of having to watch my child in nursery they do not have this facility in school! Staff- The nursery staff are very supportive, flexible and caring. Both children have had fun, structured, expressive and educated experiences here. Wasn't a fan of the new company structure who have taken over and the late policy should be a bit more flexible, especially with all the work that is being carried out in and around the A4. Will miss this establishment dearly. If you care about the safety, education and well-being of your young child...look no further!

Review of The Little School Daycare

My child is now moving onto reception and has been with the nursery since she turned 2 years old. Overall the nursery experience for my child has been good. One downside to this nursery is the lack of CCTV for parents to view their children throughout the day as an added reassurance. Feedback is always fair and if there is any challenging behaviour or issues with my child in that session this will be discussed with me - what happened, why it may have happened and what the outcome was. My daughter walked in shy on her first day and now is very confident with her words, her knowledge about the world, her numeric competency and her social skills. They have made efforts to nurture her personal interests and incorporate them into her learning and play. I am not a fan of the late Policy as I think it is unfair to charge someone if they are 1 minute late and at least a 5-minute grace should be allowed.

Review of The Little School Daycare

From our initial visit to view the nursery the staff have gone out of their way to get to know my daughter. She has attended The Little School Daycare for almost a year now and loves it. She goes in happily each morning and talks about what she’s done when she comes out. The staff are lovely and the news of the day email is a wonderful way to know what she’s been up to. My little one moves up into Reception in September and I know her time at The Little School Daycare have more than prepared her for school. Many thanks to everyone at The Little School Daycare.

Review of The Little School Daycare

Our daughter was born in December 2019 which meant her interaction skills with people outside of the home were learnt over video calls during lockdown. It was a bit of a shock for her to see that people existed in real life. With this in mind, we knew starting daycare would be a challenge but we shouldn't have worried. The team at the Little School were amazing at settling her into the group. Her confidence has grown each day. The team have assisted with her speech development and helped us potty train her in a matter of weeks. The updates on the app mean you can log on and see your child's progress and achievements. Our daughter enjoyed the activities and especially the soft play room. The Little School has given our daughter a perfect start and we couldn't recommend them enough.

Review of The Little School Daycare

My daughter started a few months ago and settled in really quickly. I think you can always spot a good childcare facility by a gut feeling you have within. I got this feeling before she started and I was most definitely right. It is a lovely daycare facility, the staff are caring and compassionate and have a lot of patience. (My daughter can be a little rogue at times) She is always happy when coming home and looks forward to going, which is also a good sign. I have experienced them working with me on a few struggles like fussy eating and potty training and my daughter has improved on both early learning tasks. I am happy and my daughter is happy, which is what is important.

Review of The Little School Daycare

Both my children have attended The Little School - my youngest just left to go to reception. They both had so much fun and love while they were there, from the staff. They have been nurtured into little independent people. The staff were informed and caring and I couldn't have been happier with the level of education and love they received. The communication was great, the accounts department was efficient. They were also flexible where possible, to accommodate my family's schedule (shift working parent). I couldn't recommend them enough and we are sorry that this is the end of our journey with them.

The Little school nursery is the best. My twins attended from 14 months old until they left to go to reception. The Little School gave the best preparation for school. The staff genuinely care about my children and treat them very much as individuals, taking great care to support their particular needs and interests. My twins flourished very well during the time spent at the nursery. All the departments at the nursery were flexible, understanding and supportive of our family life. They have managed the re-opening of the nursery following the Covid-19 pandemic: every detail has been carefully thought through in a bid to ensure a safe return for the children and staff members. The twins were very sad when they left the nursery. I have taken them back since for a visit.

Review of The Little School Daycare

My son has attended this setting since he was 6 months old. He has been welcomed and cared for by staff beautifully. During COVID the nursery had to close but I was so happy that they decided to re-open in July with sound safety measures. It meant so much to him to be able to go back to nursery, albeit a different one (set-up/covid-19 precautionary procedures). He formed bonds with his key workers throughout.
