Ramsey Day Nursery is an OFSTED GOOD (2023) nursery in Ramsey, on Great Whyte. Our nursery welcomes children aged 6 weeks to 5 years into spacious, welcoming buildings, with strong safeguarding and nurturing care that helps every child feel secure and ready to explore. We strengthen family partnerships through regular photo updates and progress shares.
Dual buildings support age and stage groups with bright rooms focused on curiosity and play within the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our caring team crafts engaging routines that nurture emotional security alongside key skills.

Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager

Kyrie Carter

Hello, I'm Kyrie. I joined the nursery in March 2018, but I've been working in childcare since 2004. I hold an Early Years Foundation Degree at Level 5 and have built my career from room leader to nursery manager in 2013. Along the way, I helped build up a new acquisition from a 20-place nursery to a 106-place setting, an experience that taught me so much about leadership and growth.

My approach to childcare is kind, caring and friendly. I believe strong relationships with both parents and staff are essential to creating a thriving setting where everyone feels supported and valued.

What I love most about this job is being able to see children develop from babies to pre-schoolers, and supporting families and practitioners through that journey of growth. It's a privilege to be part of those early years and to watch children and teams flourish together.

Our Curriculum

Our nursery works closely alongside Development Matters and our curriculum to ensure children have access to all opportunities. Children make good progress across the setting, and these are celebrated through observations, assessments and feedback from key workers.

Children are prepared for the next stage in their development, with rooms working closely together to ensure the curriculum flows throughout the nursery. This means children know what the expectations are daily, alongside a routine they can use throughout the day.

Review of Ramsey Day Nursery

We have sent 2 of our children to Ramsey day nursery and will be sending our twin girls there in September. The nursery has a friendly and caring ethos which is evident from the moment you walk in the door. The children are always met with warm smiles and go in exited for thier day. The staff are incredibly supportive and empathetic and do thier best for every child in thier care. If I have had concerns about my child's development, these have been met with understanding and respect. The SEND support is fantastic and the SENDCo is knowledgeable. We would highly recommend Ramsey Day!

Review of Ramsey Day Nursery

Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff at Ramsey Day Nursery. It's a big deal leaving your small child but they really put your mind at ease here, and seeing how happy she is there really is lovely. The staff are all polite, friendly and very welcoming. The outside space is great, they spend a lot of time in the garden which our daughter loves. We get lots of updates as to what she's been updates aswell as photos, which is lovely to see. Our daughter comes out every day absolute buzzing and has the best time while she's here! I recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Review of Ramsey Day Nursery

We couldn't be happier with this nursery. The management team in the office are always very quick to respond to any queries and are extremely helpful and approachable, which gives great peace of mind as a parent. Communication is clear and consistent, and it's reassuring to know that any questions or concerns are dealt with promptly. The nursery staff are absolutely amazing and truly go above and beyond every day. They are caring, attentive, and create such a warm and welcoming environment for the children. It's clear how much effort they put into making sure every child feels comfortable, supported, and happy while they are there. Our child settled into the new room so well and always comes home happy, which says a lot about the wonderful team and the nurturing atmosphere they create. We're very grateful for all the hard work and dedication from everyone at the nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents looking for a safe, caring, and supportive place for their child

The staff have always been really helpful and accommodating when I have needed extra childcare. Staff are all very friendly and professional. Children always seem happy and well cared for. Good safeguarding procedures in place. Lots of interesting activities.

All the staff seems very compassionate and caring and definitely put family first. There is lots f communication between the nursery and parents which is a positive. My child loves attending nursery and I have no doubt it has helped her development in early years.

We are extremely happy with Ramsey Day Nursery. Our daughter loves attending and is very fond of all staff members, very often talking about them outside of the nursery. They go above and beyond with recognizing and acting upon individual needs and care for the children. Communication is always fantastic, especially concerning SEND.

My child loves the girls here. The staff are great. Management obviously treats it like a business but is a lot less flexible than before. Management in the nursery are great though. There are some lovely activities.

Review of Ramsey Day Nursery

Both my kids have had a fantastic experience at Ramsey Day Nursery. They have both built their confidence and really have given them the best opportunity to thrive when moving into full-time education. They are also understanding of any issues you raise with them and always try to accommodate wherever they can. As for the staff I feel like they should be given lots of credit, I have always felt that my kids would be safe with them and that they would be treated as I would treat them at home with respect, understanding and sympathy. All in all it’s a brilliant nursery and would highly recommend.

Review of Ramsey Day Nursery

My child has been with Ramsey Day Nursery since he was 9 months old and this was his last month before school. He had loved his time at the nursery and they have fully supported his progression from a little baby to the little boy he is now, ready to start school. They have sent regular updates on his progress and supported his learning which has helped him become very confident. I don’t feel his start at school would have gone as smoothly if it wasn’t for his time at Ramsey Day Nursery.
