Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Our Commitments

Our curriculum is built around five core commitments that guide how we nurture every child.

Critical And Creative Thinkers

Nurturing curiosity and confidence to imagine, test ideas, and solve problems through exploration.

Sense of Belonging

Building secure, trusting relationships so every child feels safe, valued, and confident.

Explorers of Our World

Connecting children to nature through outdoor experiences that build resilience and independence.

Confident Communicators

Supporting every child to express themselves in ways that are meaningful to them.

Happy and Healthy

Encouraging physical activity, healthy eating, and joyful experiences that support lifelong wellbeing.

Our Curriculum

Rainbows Curriculum is a wonderful collaboration of all the best Early Years leading pioneers blended together to reflect our name of Rainbow in Practice.

Our exceptional outdoor environment forms the foundation of our children’s learning, nurturing a deep connection with nature throughout all seasons. With regular, long-term access to natural spaces, children are empowered to lead their own learning, supported by thoughtful adult scaffolding that provides balance and guidance

Our core beliefs are embedded in our commitment to viewing children as the valuable resource they are, ensuring they remain at the centre of all adult-initiated activities, with learning driven by their interests.

We create a delicate and intentional balance of age integration within our daily routine, providing meaningful opportunities for our younger peers to engage and interact with older peers. During shared mealtimes, circle times, and small-group garden experiences, children participate in peer-to-peer scaffolding and observational learning, fostering confidence, connection, and collaborative growth.

A broad range of hands-on experiential activities—such as woodwork, cooking, campfire learning, and studying life cycles—contributes significantly to the development of cultural capital.

Review of Rainbow Nursery

Staff is very attentive and professional while keeping a welcoming, easy going, and friendly attitude. They have basically become a second family to my son and it's heartwarming to see him rushing there almost every morning with a smile on his face. We also receive daily reports on the activities he participates to throughout the day (sleep times, food, etc.). More detailed observations are sent at regular cadence with pictures, highlights, and a useful, color coded breakdown of his developmental journey. The staff is also always happy to provide more details or receive feedback on demand. The nursery also organizes open activities that have been very useful to connect with other families. The nursery also has an outside area that is unmatched in almost all the neighborhood, as it's large-enough to host a number of outside activities involving scooters, sandpits, waterplay, a firepit, etc. Kids get to enjoy every drop of sunlight the day has to offer. Couldn't recommend it more.

Review of Rainbow Nursery

A friendly, caring nursery with excellent staff and facilities. There are many different activities on offer from singing, regular puppet shows, cooking and they have a great space - both indoor and outdoor, including a soft play area. The staff really care about the children and get to know them and what they like.

Review of Rainbow Nursery

A wonderful nursery with kind and caring staff who engage with the children in a variety of tasks - from outdoor play, sensory experiences, nature, reading, soft play and more - they also have chickens on site! The setting is beautiful with gardens and indoor and outdoor play. It's immaculately kept and well-run. The children have a clear plan for the day without being too prescriptive. It's all about exposure to different experiences whilst having fun and encouraging the children to grow their independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
