Grosvenor House Day Nursery & Pre-School is an OFSTED GOOD (2025) nursery in Edwalton, Nottingham, located in a stunning building on Melton Road. The nursery is spread over two spacious floors, offering a warm, familiar environment where children from birth to 5 years can explore, build confidence and get ready for life’s next adventures. Nutritional Approach

We believe food is fundamental to healthy growth, happy minds, and positive lifelong habits. In the earliest years, what children eat shapes taste preferences, supports brain development, and lays the foundations for long-term health.

All meals are freshly prepared on site each day using quality, seasonal ingredients. Our menus are developed with expert guidance, designed for inclusion, and go beyond Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We want every child to become a confident, curious eater.

Meet Our Nursery Manager

Danielle Lee

Hello, my name is Danielle Lee and I am the Nursery Manager here at Grosvenor House. I have been at Grosvenor since February 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey I have been on with such an amazing setting which is nothing less than breathtaking.

I began my journey in 2012 as an apprentice and have since worked my way through several roles resulting in being a Nursery Manager at present. I have been a Nursery Manager since 2020 and love every day in my role, being able to inspire the younger apprentices & team members to guide and mentor them through my previous experience, developing the new and upcoming leaders we have.

I love working in childcare as we are able to create amazing bonds with our families and watch all of our children develop and learn new key life skills with our holistic approach day in, day out.

Our Curriculum

We have a strong and robust curriculum which is catered for each child's individual needs. There is a strong emphasis on communication and language, with children encouraged to be confident communicators through rich language experiences across all age groups and the introduction of new words daily.

Letting children explore and be risk takers is an essential part of our curriculum. Being resilient resolvers helps embed independence and enables children to show a can-do attitude when facing challenges.

Overall, I'm really happy with the nursery and the care my child receives. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and my childseems settled and comfortable, which means a lot to us as parents. The only thing I would mention is that in the past, I have collected my child and they have had some accidents that hadn't been picked up on. I completely understand how busy things can be. It could also be lovely to have a little "shoes-off time" during the day, just to give the children a chance to be a bit more comfortable and relaxed. Overall, we're really pleased and appreciate all the care and support provided

My child is in the preschool room, and I couldn't be happier with the care and support they receive. The teacher and her assistants are fantastic they provide daily feedback and regular updates on my child's progress and milestones, which I really appreciate. The team is always very friendly, welcoming, and approachable, creating a positive and nurturing environment. Most importantly, my child genuinely looks forward to going to nursery every day, which says it all.

Our daughter has attended since August. She settled in quickly and we have been so impressed by the kindness of the staff and the way they take such a personal approach to each child. The food always sounds delicious and they organise lots of different activities for the children. Couldn't be more pleased that we chose Grosvenor House nursery.

I feel truly blessed to have found Grosvenor House Day Nursery for my little one. The staff are incredibly caring, supportive and genuinely amazing. The way they nature and encourage my son is wonderful to see. Although he currently attends two days per week, he absolutely loves the team and is thriving in thier care. The meals provided are varied and nutritious, with dishes like lamb moussaka and fish pie - meals I don't often make at home! It's reassuring to know he's eating so well. The nursery also has a beautiful play area, which he really enjoys. There is lots of space for him to run around and play. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff go above and beyond, and I have complete confidence that my child is well looked after. Highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a safe, caring and stimulating environment. My son started at the nursery in October and he absolutely loves the baby room. All of the staff are so welcoming, kind, and caring, which made settling in such a positive experience for both of us. Review of Grosvenor House Day Nursery & Pre-School

We have been so pleased with this nursery since our daughter started 8 months ago. The staff are all so kind and I feel genuinely enjoy looking after her. They are always excited to see her, and always give really comprehensive updates at the end of the day. We love the updates and pictures on the app. Whenever they call to give any updates, they are really reassuring. If I have ever booked her in for extra days, the staff always remember and will say they are looking forward to having her - sometimes I've even forgotten this!! She clearly loves the food they cook as eats it all - way more than home. I've also really liked the fact they really keep you updated about sleep, and will stick to your routines. In terms of flexibility, the nursery has been brilliant at supporting additional ad hoc days when I've had other commitments come up. Honestly couldn't recommend more!

Few changes over the last couple of years but it finally seems to be settling down and going in the right direction again. Caring and friendly staff, good management, always available with prompt responses. Would highly recommend this nursery.

Review of Grosvenor House Day Nursery & Pre-School

We are so happy with our daughter's experience at Grosvenor over the last 9 months. She has settled really well and actively looks forward to going to "school". The staff in the baby room have all been so friendly and have really taken the time to get to know our little one. A few standouts for me: 1. The app updates are fantastic and it's lovely to see pictures of our daughter getting involved in fun activities with her friends 2. They really take preferences into account and I'm happy that the food she gets is as healthy as it is at home - and she certainly eats more of it at nursery! 3. The Easter/Mother's Day/Father's Day/Halloween/Christmas photos, cards and crafts we get home with are a special touch, as are the fun days and events 4. The rooms are so spacious and it's great that each room has its own outdoor space which is appropriate for the development level they're at Couldn't recommend more highly.

We love Grosvenor House! They have looked after our son so well since we moved him there and we are looking forward to our youngest starting there in September. The dedication and love from the staff, the welcoming environment and huge range of activities they do is amazing. My son always comes out of nursery full of beans and I can tell he's had a wonderful day each time. Communication is excellent and they run so many fantastic open days for all the families. We recently went to one this weekend with a bbq, fire engine, games, a performer and loads more. The nursery puts lots of effort into these extra days and it is hugely appreciated!

We are so happy with this nursery. It is such a cry and nurturing environment and we feel so comfortable sending our children there. The staff are very welcoming and know the children really well. They do lots of really fun activities and they also have regular events for parents to attend, which we also really well thought out and enjoyable. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Grosvenor House to any potential family.

Review of Grosvenor House Day Nursery & Pre-School

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 9 months old, and overall, we've had a very positive experience. She loves going and the room staff are fantastic, very caring and dedicated, building great relationships with the children. She thrives in their care, and they work hard to create a nurturing environment. However, communication needs improvement and staff retention has been a serious issue, affecting consistency. In the preschool room, there are usually just two staff members (sometimes only one) with a large group. Adding a third staff member, even part-time, would allow smaller groups and more individual attention. We really enjoy the community days, but outings like trips to parks, which were a highlight in the past, haven't happened in over a year. The promised forest school has also not materialised even with several promises. Despite these challenges, we deeply appreciate the care the staff provides, and my daughter's happiness at nursery speaks volumes.

Review of Grosvenor House Day Nursery & Pre-School

My daughter has been going to The Grosvenor House Day Nursery and Preschool since she was 9 months old now she is two. I felt welcome since I had my first visit to the nursery something told me that this was the right one for my daughter and time showed me that I was right. My daughter settled in so fast and the staff did a great job making this happen. They have been so caring toward her and they are still the same. The transition from room to room was so smooth and it wasn't a problem at all for her. Again this is thanks to the staff that works there. They made her hit her milestone so early and her development in all areas is wonderful and this melts my heart. The management also is so helpful and always they help me in different situations as a working parent such as booking extra sessions; they communicate every change that happens to the nursery. The nursery it's super clean and the food is great. My daughter is going to be in this nursery until she starts school.
