Poppies was established in 2006 and joined the Family First family in March 2021. From the start, the brand has been built around creating a safe, secure, home-from-home environment where children are nurtured into independent and confident learners.

Our Customer Experience Team will be in touch to answer any questions and talk through next steps when you are ready.

When you are ready, we will send your enrolment form and payment links and guide you through this process. Once completed, your child's place is confirmed.

A few weeks before your child is due to start we will be back in touch with you to book your child's settling in sessions.

Our daughter has been at this nursery since just over one year old, and she turned four yesterday. The care, patience and expertise shown by the team throughout this time has been exceptional. We went through a difficult period as a family, and the support from the staff made a genuinely meaningful difference. We've watched our daughter grow in confidence, capability and happiness - she has come on in leaps and bounds. Most importantly, she loves it here. She wakes up excited to go to nursery and always speaks positively about her day and her teachers. The balance between play-based learning and structured education is excellent, and the focus on developing well-rounded, kind, and confident children is clear in everything they do. We visited several nurseries before choosing Poppies Beaconsfield, and we are certain we made the right choice. Our daughter has been at Poppies since she was 9 months old, and now at 3 we know we made the right choice. From the very beginning the staff have made it feel like a second home. Some of the staff have been there for over 20 years, and that depth of experience really shows-they know every child as an individual and create such a warm, caring and nurturing atmosphere. We've been incredibly happy with our experience at Poppies Day Nursery Beaconsfield from the very first day. The low staff turnover compared to other nurseries speaks volumes about the environment and the quality of care they provide. We took a tour of the nursery before deciding on it, immediately we were in! We loved the old barn, it had a super homely feel and the staff were super caring to top things! We sent our firstborn, our son who adjusted so well and has totally come into himself. As we were very happy, we sent our little daughter too who is also thriving. Overall a beautiful nursery with wonderful staff covering a wide range of ages, setting up our little ones for school. Thank you Poppies!

Excellent nursery and pre school. My daughter has been attending since January 2023. The staff go above and beyond to make sure my daughter is content and well looked after at Poppies Day Nursery. My son has been going to Poppies for almost 4 years now. Since he was about 10 months old in the baby room and he is now 4 and a half and soon to leave to go to school. I cannot fault the care that he has received in his time there. The staff are truly dedicated and it feels like we are leaving him with another family who really care for him. We've had both of our children in Poppies and they've both really flourished. The staff are brilliant with the kids, with lots of variety of things to do every day, one of the highlights recently being the Christmas concert. There's a good balanced menu available. They're great at getting the kids interested in reading and learning. The setting is really nice and the hours are really convenient for working parents. It's been a great place for us to send both children.

We have been so impressed with the team at Poppies and how well they look after my son. They are kind and caring, well-organised, enthusiastic and extremely trustworthy. My son has a number of allergies and they’ve been excellent at managing those ensuring the food he eats is safe for him. He carries an EpiPen which they manage so well. He is so happy and has built really good relationships with his carers. The range of activities ensures the children are engaged but also free to play and explore. I highly recommend this nursery. I have been so pleased with Poppies and would highly recommend it. They were great during the settling in time, which took my little one about 6 weeks, and since then he has learnt so much through the great staff and interaction with others kids. It gives me great comfort to know they are in such safe and caring hands. It has also been great to attend some of the open and party days and meet other local parents.

My daughter joined Poppies last August after previously being at 2 other nurseries. The staff were so warm and welcoming. The outdoor area is such a huge benefit and is well-equipped with lots of activities for the children to engage with. The staff are always looking for ways to bring in personal interests of the children into everyday activities, my daughter always comes home saying what a great day she has had.

Both of my kids went to Poppies and both really enjoyed it there. They are sensitive kids but quickly built bonding with their respective key carers which gave them sense of belonging. Staff we came across have been amazing. The nursery has a large outdoor play area. There is also a variety of activities such on top of usual leaning such as French, football coaching, music lessons. I would recommend Poppies to my friends without a doubt.

Our daughter started Poppies Day Nursery Beaconsfield in March this year (2022) following a move into the area. She had been attending another nursery setting prior to Poppies Day Nursery however all we can say is she has developed much further than in her previous setting. We feel that her key workers and teachers within the Big Explorer class have been amazing with our daughter. The staff understand our daughter's abilities and work alongside her in order to achieve this, not pushing her too hard that she resents but moreover working with her in smaller groups to build her confidence. She comes back home speaking about her key worker and how ‘she’s her best friend’. A daily diary is sent to all families as well as observations which work towards their objectives. My daughter's key worker has been amazing in settling in my daughter and we couldn’t be happier! Management are very friendly and easy to get hold of should you need them and communication via eyLog for anything is great.

My son is 2.5 years and has been at Poppies Nursery for nearly 6 months now. I was so nervous for my son to start as he has multiple food allergies and we have never been apart before so we started him on the minimum amount of time at Poppies to start with. It took him 4 days to settle in and now he runs to the nursery door in excitement. The staff and my son’s keyworker are amazing with him and so careful and caring about his allergies. I don’t worry at all and feel totally at ease when my son is at Poppies and we have now added an extra day as it’s going so well. My son’s keyworker goes above and beyond to help him especially with his speech, and I couldn’t ask for more. I definitely highly recommend Poppies Day Nursery Beaconsfield to everyone!

A wonderfully warm and friendly nursery that is bringing the best out in our two girls. We recently moved to the area and looked at quite a few nurseries before settling on Poppies Beaconsfield for our daughters. Walking around the old barns and the gardens seeing the happy children and teachers, we knew instantly that it was just what we were looking for. Our eldest is doing really well in the preschool class thanks to her wonderful teachers and comes home telling us all about her friends and the wonderful activities she’s done. I’m confident that she’ll be ready for reception come next September. Our youngest is coming on leaps and bounds in the baby nest and has settled so well there, thanks to the nurturing staff. The management team are brilliant at communicating with parents. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

I couldn't have hoped for a better experience for my two girls. My eldest started at Poppies when she was just 4 months old and has just left now to start school. She has loved every minute of it there and made great little friends and regularly talks about some of the carers at Poppies as her "best friends". I was constantly impressed with their progress on learning new vocabulary and the extracurricular activities they were able to enjoy before COVID. I always felt safe and happy with the level of care and would absolutely recommend them to anyone moving to the area.

Both my boys go to Poppies - my eldest has been there for over two years and my youngest started at the beginning of July. I have been incredibly impressed by the teams in all the rooms the boys have been in. They have provided an amazing level of care to both boys, from settling them in and getting to know them really well right through to helping them learn to eat independently, use a potty etc. What strikes me most is how happy the boys are whenever they are there - the girls are incredibly kind, approachable and gentle, which I really love. They take a huge amount of time to update me on the boy's progress and have supported us through tricky times (including when my eldest was biting and hitting a lot!) and just genuinely care a great deal. I would recommend Poppies without reservation. The management team have also been amazing, keeping us up to date if the boys are not themselves and ensuring they have any medicines etc that they need.

Review of

I cannot recommend Poppies Beaconsfield enough. I was very particular choosing a nursery as previously 2 local nurseries had let me down with my older children-overpriced, refused government hours or poor care due to high numbers and limited space (my daughter often left playing on her own or sent home dirty). Would Poppies be better? Two moms I trusted recommended Poppies noting its "kind staff," "excellent home-cooked, organic meals," and "large play areas inside and out." I enrolled my youngest at Poppies based on these recommendations, ignoring my initial feeling it was perhaps too far for me or too pricey for me (not the cheapest nor most expensive in the area). I also was not sure I wanted childcare that continued throughout the summer. After 2.5 years with Poppies, it is indeed one of the best mum-decisions I have made! Their strengths are kindness and quality; the location, easy; the price, fair. And, as it turns out, the childcare in the summertime, is a much-needed gift!

We have used Poppies over the last five years for our son & daughter, both from babies in the baby nest through to nursery class. We have been impressed with the facilities and activities for the children offered - the huge garden and outdoor play area which is a rare thing to have. Both children have been very happy and settled, you can see that the staff care about the children and enjoy being there. Poppies have been a big part of our lives, we will miss them!

Review of

All 3 children have attended Poppies Big Explorer and Nursery Class rooms over a period of 7 years. The children have loved coming and have been so lucky to have been looked after in such a caring environment. The main positives (although there are so many!) for me, include the lovely outdoor spaces (especially the mud kitchen and sandpit) which the children are encouraged to access several times a day whatever the weather, the sports/music specialists which come in weekly, the cookery, painting and generally messy activities and the amazing staff who are so patient and skilled. The nursery class children are also gently helped to be school-ready in many different ways but it's not overtly pushy or academic. All of my children miss Poppies and ask to visit regularly! Can't recommend it highly enough!

Both children went to Poppies from 1 years of age and absolutely loved it. The staff are amazing and make all the kids feel special and adapt to each of their needs. They learnt so much including treating each other nicely and sharing. Lots of activities and varied things to do, lots of fun and playing outside. The activities provided are varied and provide excellent learning opportunities. Poppies Day Nursery Beaconsfield is an excellent nursery that I would highly recommend to any parent. Not only are the facilities and the inside/outside space fantastic but the care is wonderful. Both my children have been extremely happy there. My older girl has now started school and the care that nursery took preparing her for this big step meant that the transition was easy and a happy experience for my daughter. I will be sad when it's time for my boy to leave.

My 2 year daughter absolutely loves going to Poppies Beaconsfield and I feel very comfortable leaving her there for the day. She has a very close relationship with her key person and has made lots of friends. I struggle to get her to try new things such as clothes and shoes. Nursery were able to get her to wear her new slippers in one day which her dad and I had been trying to get her to wear for weeks! She enjoys all the food and often has seconds. We talk in the evenings about her day and it always sounds like she's had a great time. I feel her learning has accelerated since being at Poppies and I believe the team have contributed to her being such a bright little girl.

Our daughter has now been at Poppies for almost 2 years since she was 1 years old and has been through Baby Nest, Little Explorers and now is in Big Explorers. From class to class she has grown and all key carers have been of a high standard. Our daughter has never come home upset from nursery and is always talking about her key carers and friends. She has a healthy diet and always eats the food, in fact, her day sheet often says has 2nd. We could not be more pleased with Poppies and would highly recommend to any parent. We are expecting our 2nd child and she also will be enrolled at poppies for when she turns 1.

Our daughter has been attending the Poppies in Beaconsfield for a short period of time. She has attended other nurseries in the past. The staff have made her feel welcome and are extremely friendly, including her in the activities for full-time children. Excellent and experienced staff who make the ever so difficult transition for a mum to leave her baby and go back to work, that bit easier. Great communication throughout the day if that's what you request, and they follow the individual routines of your baby. Designated key workers know exactly what your baby has been doing each day and they build up positive relationships with not only the babies but their families. I now don't think twice about leaving my baby at this nursery as I know she is extremely well cared for and she loves the range of activities on offer!
