Early Years Foundation
The Importance of Early Development
The science is incontestable: the first five years of childhood are more pivotal for development and future health and happiness, than any other single moment in our lifetime.
Children’s earliest years are fundamental to shape their lifelong outcomes; therefore, we are committed to fostering nurturing environments with high quality teams to deliver exceptional care and education for all our children and their families.
Our Commitment to Early Education
Our commitment is to give every child the best possible start in life by fostering a life-long love of learning!
Our nurseries have a coherently planned and well-sequenced curriculum that enables children to make progress by knowing more, understanding more, and being able to do more. In the early years, the curriculum enables all children to progress in all learning areas. In this way, early education provides the building blocks of knowledge for them to use as they learn, grow, and develop.
Tailored Learning Approaches
We carefully build unique curriculums that are sculpted around the seven educational programmes set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Expanding upon these programmes, skilful nursery managers and their team, integrate diverse learning opportunities and are responsive to the needs of their local community, families, and demographics. They do this with the aim of fostering and enhancing the skills essential for children’s development and outcomes.
We understand that supporting children in the characteristics of effective learning, another statutory element of the Early Years Foundation Stage, is crucial in supporting children to become strong lifelong learners and independent thinkers.
Our Curriculum Values
In nurturing the next generation, we aspire for every child in our care to:
- Develop into confident and effective communicators, expressing themselves with ease and clarity.
- Cultivate meaningful and rewarding relationships, characterised by mutual respect and understanding.
- Experience a sense of belonging and inclusion within our nurturing nursery environments, where every child is valued and safe.
- Understand and articulate their emotions, learning to manage them in a way that supports their emotional well-being and resilience.
- Embrace their role in society with confidence, ready to engage with the world around them with curiosity and courage.
Above all, we aim for each child to be joyful, self-confident, and eager to explore the vast wonders of the world and people around them.
